Lego
Lego is big in our house and it gets created and played with most days. Sometimes to plan, but most often not. There's also a lot of imaginative play that goes with it- most of the fighting, super hero type- some violent which I'm not fond of but I'm super glad for the creativity and imagination going down so I take the bad with the good.

Potion Table and Cubby Corner
The Potion table and Cubby corner is an area that is literally under construction. We have set up the potion table and it is a very popular spot for experimenting. It has a water source, bowls, jugs, bottles and various kitchen utensils. We plan to add some more stuff along the way and Will would also like a mortar and pestle.
There is also a fire pit which Les and the kids have used a couple of times to cook marshmallows. Hopefully we can also do some sausages and damper before the fire ban takes effect over the summer.
Now that the weather is warming up we need to do some planning on what will happen with those pallets. Some will be tied to the fence and then we can add some hardware to make some water races and such.
I also want to add some rope and a tarpaulin so they can set up some shelter- although this area is under our mulberry tree which will provide some good cover. This will give them the opportunity to work with attachments, pulley type set-ups and such- and just give them more control over their space to set it up and use it as they want. Hopefully it won't disturb the Bandicoots too much as they also burrow in this area.

Magical Blocks
This is the last 24 hours at our place....
We adopted these blocks into our family yesterday from their last family who had out grown them. These are International blocks- played with in South Africa and Perth by South Africans, Aussies and now Kiwis! We got a super good deal for around 200 blocks- really really happy!
Will started building a catapult with them in the five minutes we had at home after we dropped the blocks off and went to do the school/kindy run. Then he and Robert worked together to make a Theme park.
Tama made the letter 'T'.
And then became a skip bin rubbish truck.
This morning they worked on some more bits before they got dressed.
And a dinosaur park after breakfast. They 'filmed' a narrated Dinosaur show after Kindy. With performances by the T-rex and Tricertops.
This afternoon it has become some sort of fantasy land which hides a number of precious Orbs which need to be hunted and found.
The only bad thing about these blocks is trying to get them to stop playing so they can eat or leave the house. :-)
